have you tried alcohol? What is the best way to remove film from clear glass dishes?
in the past, i dealt in antique glass and collectibles. when purchasing very old or very well used clear drinking glasses, sometimes they had a white film that wouldnt budge no matter how many times i scrubbed with (nondamaging) cleansers or elbow grease. this film was easily removed with an acid-type cleaner called ';whink'; rust and stain remover. but BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL!!! its harmful to the skin, and can burn you. place a teaspoon or two (depending on the size of the container, and swirl it around all the surfaces of the interior of the glass. this eats away the filmy substance, and the glasses come out crystal clear like new!! this amount can be reused in another container, just pour it into the next one to be cleaned... and remember, LOVE THE EARTH, and dispose of the whink properly...
