Can u put personal photos on a clear glass (like a drinking tankard)?

my friends and i are graduating from university this year and as a present to each of them i want to take photos from throughout our 4 years and put them on a clear glass (kinda to remind eachother of the social/drinking times). does anyone know if i can do this, or stores that will do that. Something like what walmart does to their mugs, but instead of a mug....a clear bar glass.

Sure it can be done. An art glass place can get a photosensitive sandblast resist to use to etch the photo on, or a glassblowing place can get photosensitive glass color. The glass blowers can make you a custom piece and ';develop'; your picture into the glass, very cool, but rare and expensive to find someone that can do it for you. Call around art glass places in your area and ask if they can sandblast a copy of a photograph for you.
