If the glass is clear, there is no glue that you can use behind it that won't be visable through the glass when dry. Even glue that specifically says ';dries clear'; on the label, will show a visable outline around where it's been applied between the wall and the glass.

You might consider floating the glass in front of the wall, as close as possible, suspending it from the ceiling on thin airplane wire. Or you may have to screw it to the wall, but use a decorative lag bolt with a stainless steel or other polished metal finished head. Think about the placement and spacing of these, and incorporate them into a design. Spacing the glass 1 / 2'; - 1'; away from the wall will create an interesting play with depth. This is an interesting effect when you have artwork applied flat on the wall behind it.

I'm not really clear on the purpose of this glass, but I hope this may help. Good luck with your project.
