Any ideas of how I can decorate a clear glass ornament for a contest?

It is for a Christmas contest, but I can decorate it any way I choose. How do you get glue to stick to glass?Any ideas of how I can decorate a clear glass ornament for a contest?
Have you ever seen those colored glass ';pebbles'; sold in the craft section at WalMart? Buy a bag of multicolored pebbles, and hot glue them to the ornament. Then, buy a bottle of glitter glue, and fill in between the pebbles. Go light with the glue, or it will just run off.

you can also take or even use masking tape, shoe polish and a clear spray paint on a top coat it and make it look like a leather finish..

Oh, the possibilites are endless!

I would like to play with some of that liquid glitter that comes in all kinds of colors. Think of some of your favorite decorations or symbols or other themes. A Victorian Christmas Ornament. Try a little bit of lace. Spray adhesive and colored sand, acrylic paints or colored beads would add interest. Some craft paints have interesting textures, or you could sponge paint a background and paint a little Christmas scene.

Have fun!
Use a hot glue gun. If you are decorating for a christmas contest, you may like to use mini candy canes and gumdrops
You could always swirl paint inside of it. Otherwise search on the web for other ideas, I'm sure decorating magazines probably have online articles on their websites about that stuff this time of year.
well oh my the posibilitys are endless. . well you could take a old tooth brush (that u dont use) get some craft paint and a on a paper plate pour out some of the paint and put a little bit of water in it dip the tooth brush in the paint and brush the tooth brush with one finger and flick the paint on the the ornament and you get wonder little spots of different color, you could layer gold and silver or go with traditional christmas colors, you can leave it alone or paint scenes over the top or words like i believe or joy to the world, you could also take the end of a paint brush and put it in paint and when you tap the end of the brush you get perfect little dots now the glue i would a glue that says that it will stick to glass other wise i think you are wasting your time
Paint holly or Christmas tree, or stars, on it. It's simple and looks good too.
I have not tried this recipe- but this internet poster promises a glass glue made from pantry items - http://leighswishingwell.com/sdj/cr11.ht鈥?/a>

In painting on glass in the past I have either roughed it up a bit with sandpaper or painted with a primer first and had good luck- i suspect this ornament will not be too badly man-handled- so you should be good with any of these methods.

Good Luck!
