What's the best way to make aquarium glass clear again i recently got a tank and the glass is real cloudy?

i don't believe its hard water spots. What's the best way to make aquarium glass clear again i recently got a tank and the glass is real cloudy?
make a solution of water and apple cider vinegar and soak some paper towels in it then let the wet towels sit on the walls of the tank for an hour. then take an abrasive sponge and scrub. put a little elbow grease into it!

Is it the glass or the water? If it's a new tank, it's the water that is cloudy. It takes time for the biological ';filter'; to get set up and to process everything properly. Cloudy water in a new tank is normal. There are good bacteria that have to establish themselves in your tank to take the fish waste and break it down properly. There are things you can get at the fish store to help the biological filter come around quicker but I would refrain from using any of the products that are supposed to clear cloudy water because they usually upset the chemical balance of your tank.

Give it time and a 1/2 tsp. dose per 10 gallons of water of aquarium salt. The salt helps a lot and even though it is a fresh water tank, there is still a bit of salt in fresh water. Heck! There is salt in about everything!
It could be algae they have an algae scrubber you can get at petsmart or an auqatics store. Never use windex to clean the glass and only use water. It as well could be humidity that is clouding up the glass, if it's the water then do a 25% water change and get a bottle of stuff that clears the water. It also could be the filter. If it's too small, not been changed, or clean then it will cloud the water. Too much fish can cause this also
Could just be ';hard water hazing';....you had to reseal it,so use this as the opportunity to kill two birds at once.Since you have to check your seals (right?) to make sure no leaks...just fill the tank and try simply wiping the film off.

No leaks, haze doesn't come off...then you try vinegar (straight on a cotton diaper...won't scratch) on the still damp glass.

Those two should take care of it...if not, then ';buffing'; may be required on any optical hazing (looks cloudy).Use a buffing compound like you get at the optometrist to buff prescription lenses (nobody wants to live in a haze)....there are different grades.

In a pinch you can buff with tooth paste (Pearl Drops used to be good for this).....but different brands have different grits.
Get a algea eater fish. it totally cleans the glass. thier real name is plecostomus. thet will clean the glass. but they dont clean the water
use a pan new clean pan scrubbing sponge i think this is the easiest way to do it

hope this helps ya
