What are some techniques for painting on clear glass? What is the best paint?

I have both acrylic and stained glass type paint but need to know about different styles of painting and how to seal the painted objects

have tried painting inside clear glass ornaments with both stained glass paints %26amp; acrylics would like suggestions on ways to make these special

also how do I seal or preserve designs on plates glasses tiles etc. What are some techniques for painting on clear glass? What is the best paint?
I have seen some beautiful glass plates where several images were cut and placed on the underside of the plate and decoupaged. The medium first, then the images, then more medium. Use them only for display - not to eat on - because you shouldn't put them thru the dishwasher or immerse them in water. Just wipe off with soapy sponge, gently rinse and air dry.

Or, how about the etching liquid? You mask off what not to etch, and brush this liquid/paste on, and leave it for a few minutes, rinse off the excess, and it etches the glass. Buy it at Hobby Lobby, etc. After done, the glassware can be used in any manner, even put in a dishwasher - because nothing was added or painted. What are some techniques for painting on clear glass? The key secret is slowly baking the glass after painting This only served to discolor the paint and ruin the effect. I tried to do the inside of clear glass ornaments as well. The paint only pooled in the bottom. I shifted over to a proven glass decorating medium, engraving. With a diamond bits, small grind stones and a Dremel tool, I improved my techniques with much satisfaction.
