Many glass light fixture covers have a white coating of some type (possibly some kind of paint?). Is there any way to remove that coating so that the glass would be clear? How can I make a glass light fixture cover clear?
Yeah, these are usually frosted by acid and the texture is very expensive to have polished out. You'd be better off buying the clear version at a home store or lighting specialty store. Make sure that you measure the mounting dimension before you go as there are many sizes that look similar but won't quite fit your fixture. How can I make a glass light fixture cover clear?
You cant remove it. The best thing to do is find the replace globes that would fit that fixture. Depending on your fixture, it might not be that easy. You may have to go to a lighting/electical store.
Or if you know the brand/ manufacturer, you may be able to go online and see if you can get the cover you want from there.
By ordering the part as a clear part. You will have to part with a little bit of money, and throw away the bad part.
you will just have to look for clear ones.
